This piece features the magnificent St. Vincent Parrot (Amazona guildingii), the national bird of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, perched on a palm tree with two more in flight against a backdrop of lush mountains. A range map is included, illustrating just how small and precious this bird's world truly is: it exists nowhere else on Earth but the island of St. Vincent. Classified as Vulnerable by the IUCN, this species has faced severe pressure from habitat destruction, hurricanes, and the illegal pet trade. Fewer than 1,000 individuals are estimated to remain in the wild, making every sighting and every painting a testament to the importance of conservation.

This piece was painted using high-quality oil paints on MDF board, a smooth and durable surface. A solid wood 1" frame is included. Including the frame, the piece is 14" x 18". A certificate of authenticity is included.
