This piece features two Great Blue Herons wading through the tangled roots of a mangrove swamp, a scene of quiet, prehistoric stillness. Standing nearly 4.5 feet tall with a wingspan of up to 6 feet, the Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) is the largest heron in North America. These patient hunters can stand motionless for minutes at a time before striking with lightning speed. Mangrove swamps are among their most vital habitats, providing shelter, nesting sites, and rich feeding grounds teeming with fish and crustaceans.

This piece was painted using high-quality oil paints on MDF board, a smooth and durable surface. A handmade solid wood 1" frame is included. Including the frame, the piece is 14" x 26". A certificate of authenticity is included.
