The Brown Pelican is one of only two pelican species that plunge-dives for fish, dropping from heights of up to 60 feet into the ocean with remarkable precision. Once endangered due to DDT, this resilient coastal icon made a remarkable comeback and was removed from the endangered species list in 2009.

This piece was painted using high-quality oil paints on eucalyptus board, a smooth and durable surface. A solid wood 1" frame is included. Including the frame, the piece is 14" x 18". A certificate of authenticity is included.
